The biggest factor in "how many guests fit" isn't the marquee — it's what you're doing inside it. A seated wedding breakfast with round tables, chairs and a dance floor needs far more space per person than a standing drinks reception.
As a general planning rule: seated dining needs roughly 1.5m² per guest once you include tables, chairs and space to move. A standing reception needs roughly 0.6-0.7m² per guest. What else affects the fit
- Dance floor — reduces usable dining space; worth factoring in before finalising guest count.
